Alanon

Alanon is a fellowship similar to Alcoholics Anonymous although Alanon focuses on helping family and friends effected by a drinker. Alanon can be a lifesaver for those who are suffering with a loved one suffering the effects of alcohol abuse. Whether or not the drinker is seeking help, we at Puente House Recovery Services encourage you to take care of yourself and seek help from alanon and others who understand. Our programs are specifically geared toward helping the drinker him or herself but we follow the same steps and principles as alanon. Puente House Recovery Services incorporates alanon objectives by encouraging involvement of friends and family who have intimate knowledge of the drinker.

Through multi-family group therapy and education our recovery program helps work out the problems drinking has caused for family and friends as well as the drinker. Many loved ones suffer as much stress as the problem drinker. We follow alanon principles in applying the 12 steps of recovery to family and friends of the alcoholic as well as the problem drinker himself. Stress due to broken social relationships, financial strain and arguments create an unhealthy environment for everyone involved. If you have a loved family member or friend who has a problem with drinking or drugs Puente House Recovery Services can help take action now to put both of you on a path of healing.

Give us a call today to help a drinker or drug abuser in your life. If you are concerned about how much someone else drinks than it is likely a problem exists.
